Abrina Carlos was raised in Berkeley, CA where her community consisted of low-income people of color. Growing up, she believed injustice and inequality were normal. After becoming a single mother of four children, and beginning her educational journey in 2010, Abrina found a passion for the law when she helped secure housing for people in urban communities.
In 2018, she received her B.A. from U.C. Berkeley and joined the Esq. Apprentice family, where she is fulfilling her dream of becoming an attorney. Today, Abrina assists attorneys representing indigent people in criminal proceedings as a Legal Process Assistant.
